About heritage theatre booster club

Supporting Students

The Heritage Theatre Booster Club (HTBC) was formed with the purpose of supporting the MHHS Theatre Department by all means possible according to the rules of the school district and the State of Texas. MHHS theatre production is student run; from the actors, sound & light crew, set builders, make-up artists, costume designers, and more! The HTBC parents work all year to assist the theatre department with financial, organizational, and moral support for the students to create their productions. We also provide scholarships to graduating seniors who have participated in theatre arts.

The Crucible by Arthur Miller

The Crucible is a play by Arthur Miller set during the Salem witch trials of 1692. When a group of girls is caught dancing in the woods, they begin accusing townspeople of witchcraft to avoid punishment. Fear and hysteria spread, leading to false accusations, ruined reputations, and executions. John Proctor, a farmer who tries to reveal the truth, is ultimately hanged for refusing to confess to a lie. The play explores themes of mass hysteria, integrity, and the abuse of power.

“Mary Poppins” - Main Stage Musical Production (All School)

Mary Poppins is the story of the Banks family who live in a big house in London on Cherry Lane. Things are not going well for the family, the children, Jane and Michael, are out of control and are in need of a new nanny. Jane and Michael have their own ideas about what sort of caretaker they should have, while their parents—and in particular Mr. Banks—are insistent on someone strict for the job. When a mysterious young woman named Mary Poppins appears at their doorstep, the family finds that she’s the answer to their prayers, but in the most peculiar way.
